Using Cyberduck

Belmont Press recommends Cyberduck, a free FTP client for Mac OS X. Download Cyberduck and install to your Applications folder. You can also download a Belmont Press FTP server bookmark for Cyberduck. To add the bookmark to Cyberduck, unzip the file you downloaded, click the Bookmark button and drag the bookmark file (Belmont Press.duck) onto the Cyberduck Window.

The Belmont Press FTP bookmark will now appear in your bookmarks list. If you have been assigned your own login ID, you can edit the bookmark at this point. Otherwise, double-click the bookmark to connect.

When Cyberduck has connected to Belmont Press, you will see an empty window. You can drag your files onto the window and Cyberduck will automatically upload them.

When sending us your files, please bear in mind the following points:

  • All files should be zipped into a single archive
  • Any fonts must be zipped to protect them in transit
  • If you can send us high resolution PDFs, this is our preferred file format and will result in a much quicker, more efficient and more accurate production process.

Once your files have been uploaded, the Cyberduck window will still appear empty. As a security measure, uploaded files cannot be viewed by guests. However, Cyberduck’s transfer window will confirm that the files were successfully transferred.
